you have a good eye, and thats a good drawing. The more time you spend on detailing the better result you get.

check out these supplies, maybe it would help to bring ur drawing a step up, especially in shade and shadows.

Thank you shak. I've bookmarked your links so I can look into those. TBH, I really hate how I "shade" objects. I just sketch along the outside... I know it's not realistic, but hopefully I'll find some books on proper light/shade techniques. Thanks!

Aaron - there is much potential in this. The problem is that you are not making a distinction between light and dark and both are simply "filed in"

Thank you. Do you have any recommended reading on understanding light and shadow? If I can understand how light/shadow works, I should (theorhetically, and with much practice) be able to understand where shadows and highlights would appear on my artwork (I personally hate how I pseudo-shade things right now)

Nice sketch, it would be great if there were some more work on it Good proportions but the thumb looks a little bit too fat IMO.
